KEAM EXAM DETAILS

The KEAM examination is divided into two sections: for Engineering stream and for Medical stream. Here are the important exam details candidates should know.

Paper pattern:

(a) Papers for the Engineering Entrance Examination:

Paper I - Physics and Chemistry
Paper II - Mathematics
Each Paper will be of two and a half hours duration.


(b) Papers for the Medical Entrance Examination:

Paper I - Chemistry & Physics
Paper II - Biology
Each Paper will be of two and a half hours duration.


Exam details:

KEAM-2014 will be objective type with multiple choice questions (MCQ) and based on single response. Each question will have five suggested answers of which only one will be the right answer. The candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the right/most appropriate response in the OMR answer sheet.
The both the Engineering and Medical entrance examination will consist of 120 questions which have to be answered in 150 minutes.  
Scoring, negative marks: The candidates will be given four marks for every right answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer from the total score. In case the candidate leaves a question unanswered, there will be no deduction of marks. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect response, and will be awarded negative marks. Also, the candidates who fail to answer at least one question in each paper will be disqualified.
