The Government has decided to include all the negative mark holders in kerala engineering entrance in the rank list. Previously, a Threshold of 10 marks should be minimum scored to enter into the rank list.
The rank list scheme is now based on the percentage of marks scored in plus two examinations. There should be a minimum of 45% of marks in mathematics and 45% of marks in physics and chemistry combined to get admission in private self financing colleges. There should be a minimum of 50% of marks in mathematics and 50% of marks in physics and chemistry combined to get admission in private govt engineering colleges.
The decision is due to the vacant seats remaining in the government and private self financing engineering colleges last year. But the new scheme does not affect medical entrance and rank list. To get medical admission, there should be a minimum 50% of marks scored in both entrance examinations and plus two examination.
The negative marking criterion will remain unaffected by this new scheme..
